New SDK for Qtopia and Neo 1973

16 years ago, mid-February | 3 Comments

Today Trolltech have released a new Qtopia SDK for the Neo 1973. The download is and ISO which apparently contains a VMWare virtual machine so everything you need to compile and generate your own flash images is included. You’ll also need to get a copy of the Qtopia source of course, but you can get it here so that’s not a problem.

That’s pretty interesting. As far as I know it is quite difficult to set up such an environment for the Openmoko distirbution. Or am I wrong? Does somesthing like that exist for Openmoko? I mean a virtual machine in which everything to develop is already set up?

    Greetings,

There seems to be a VMWare image available here http://openmoko.solutiontrax.net/ for Openmoko builds but I have no idea how new/old it is.

You could give it a go and let us know 🙂
